I run a tow truck and got these for flat-tire changes on the side of the road. These thin wall sockets are absolutely fine, plenty strong and fit all the new-style wheels with the inset lugs. OK... fine. But... what I quickly discovered was that these iron sockets will abraid the edges of the wheel occasionally (and leave a black ring). If I had to do it over again, I'd definitely get the thin wall sockets with the white slip ring on them. They're worth the extra cost cost they simply will NOT mar a wheel! Now that I'm 'a wise man', if you need a thin wall socket it's because it's going into a tight spot. When it comes to wheels, ya just don't want to run the chance of leaving any marks... and it's easy to do with these sockets. Get the non-marring kind.
