JEN Jensen Swing S100 Full Bucket Toddler Rubber Seat w/Insert USA P5784477JEN-S100K https://cdnimages.opentip.com/full/JEN/JEN-S100.jpg Jensen Swing S100 Full Bucket Toddler Rubber Seat w/Insert USA The S100, our fully enclosed one-piece infant seat, is designed to provide the utmost safety for small children while swinging. The seat is made with a steel insert that is encased in 70duro EPDM rubber and features heavy-duty, rust-resistant, welded triangular hardware. Measuring 39 inches in circumference and 9.5 inches deep, the front leg opening is 5 inches while the back opening is 4.75 inches, providing ample room for the child to sit comfortably.EPDM (Ethylene-propylene-diene-monomer) is a synthetic rubber material that prevents crazing, cracking, and oxidizing. Unlike natural rubber, which is often made from recycled tires and can wear off on children\'s clothes, EPDM rubber is specially designed for our swing seats and does not rub off on clothes. Seats made of EPDM rubber last much longer than natural rubber swings and hold up well in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold. Our one-piece steel insert is not used in most other swing seats, as making a one-piece insert is more expensive than tabbing an insert together because of the waste that is caused. However, we feel that the strength of the seat is greatly increased and warrants the expense. Our seats have galvanized steel triangles and steel plates that are riveted to the seat with galvanized rivets. We go to the added expense of welding each triangle together so they cannot be pulled apart and pulled off the seat, ensuring maximum safety for the child. The triangle is constructed of 3/8-inch diameter cold-rolled steel with the ends welded together, while the plate is 1/16-inch thick HR stamped galvanized steel. The rivets used to rivet the plate through the EPDM rubber and steel insert are made of ¼-inch diameter steel. There are three rivets on each side of the seat. The S100 toddler seat has a 1075 steel insert, full hard, painted with a non-rusting adhesive, and then coated with rubber that is from ¼ inch to 3/8 inch thick. This new innovation by our company helps prevent a child from being cut if the rubber is ever torn off a seat.We believe our seats are made to the highest standards available, with a remarkable tensile strength of 5300 lbs. Under optimal conditions, this swing seat should last up to 5 years, even in harsh weather conditions. However, please note that some conditions may require replacement sooner. Our seats come with hidden safety features that are not visible to uninformed users. These features benefit the strength of our swings and the well-being of the children that use our equipment. From the top of the plate to the underside of the tip of the triangle is 7 3/4\". The width of the triangle is 5\". The cross section of the seating area at the top going from front to back is 12 1/2\". The cross section of the seating area going side to side is 11\". The leg holes are 5\" tall and 4 1/2\" wide.Colors: Black, Blue, Green, Red, Tan and YellowThis seat is for children 2 and 3 years old only. This swing is intended for use by only one child at a time. Children should be placed in swing and removed from swing by an Adult. Do not remove children until the swing has stopped completely. Adults should supervise children at all times. Do not allow children to stand or kneel on seat or use unsafely. Do not allow it to be used if damaged. Do not use when wet. Instruct children not to wrap chains around top beam or twist chains. Tell children to watch for children and adults standing, walking or running close to moving swings and to stop swinging to avoid hitting them and causing injury. Tell children to hold chains tightly in each hand while swinging.IMPORTANT: Please read for important information. In this material we have tried to provide some requirements stated in the CPSC Handbooks, ASTM F2373-11, F1487-11 and F1148-09. However, we in no way intend for this to be a complete list of requirements. Also these publications are updated frequently with changes, therefore, you should read these publications yourself to determine if any part or installation could prove a danger to a child. To help keep children safe from harm, review installation and maintenance instructions before installing equipment. These are located in the description of every product on our website. Download and print these instructions and keep in a safe place. Our website also has a \"Product Testing Information\" page. All products are tested for lead, phthalates and tensile strength. Installation: Our parts are sold as either replacement parts or components of a set, unless you are buying our Metal Frame Set, therefore these parts need to be installed according to the sets installation instructions. This swing is intended for children two years and three years old with Adult supervision. Read all instructions before attempting assembly. To determine proper use zones needed for swing set consult Figure 23, Table 7 for commercial swing sets. For residential sets see spacing dimensions on Page 4 of the Outdoor Home Playground Safety Handbook. Install swing set where a child can easily be supervised. Do not install playground equipment over concrete, asphalt, or any other hard surface. A fall onto a hard surface can result in serious injury to the equipment user. Grass and dirt are not considered protective surfacing because wear and environmental factors can reduce their shock absorbing effectiveness. Carpeting and thin mats are generally not adequate protective surfacing. Install your play equipment on level ground with adequate surfacing and anchoring. Use proper hardware, and tighten all connections. This swing must be installed a minimum of 24 inches from resilient surfacing. This would be 42\" off the height of the swing frame. Install this swing where a child can easily be attended at all times and not in direct sun. Warning on swing seat should face forward. Swings intended for the same age groups should be suspended from structures that are separate from those for other swings for different age groups, or at least suspended from a separate bay of the same structure. For instance, a full bucket swing should be in the same bay with another full bucket swing, not a full bucket and a strap seat in the same bay. To minimize the likelihood of children being struck by a moving swing, it is recommended that no more than two swings be hung in each bay of the supporting structure. The use zone for the swing should extend to the front and rear of the swing set, a minimum of twice the vertical distance from the top of the occupant\'s sitting surface to the pivot point of the swing hanger. The use zone in front of and behind swings should never overlap with any other use zone. The use zone to the sides of a single-axis swing should extend a minimum of 6 feet from the perimeter of the swing. This 6-foot zone may overlap that of an adjacent swing structure or other playground equipment structure.Measure each side of swing chain, so the swing hangs evenly. Attach the bottom of each chain to the large metal triangle on swing seat with either a Shackle or S-hook. The bolt on Shackle goes through the chain with \"C\" part of Shackle going through triangular hardware on swing seat. Close according to Figure A1.19 for Fastening Devices. Make sure that fasteners are strong enough to support weight and use. We suggest using an H170 Shackle or 3/8\" diameter standard S-hooks to connect chain to seat. WARNING: Once the S-hooks have been opened they will have to be replaced to avoid injuries from coming open and/or breaking. Try swinging seat without child in it first, to make sure everything is working correctly before placing child in seat. If a large child gets trapped in seat, the easiest way to release child is to drill out rivets on swing hardware. Then, hardware can be removed, and seat will unassemble, releasing child.Protective surfacing that meets ASTM F1292 must be installed under swing set and extends at least six feet from the sides of the set and twice the height of the top bar in the front and back of swing set. Protective surfacing is one of the most important things that you can do to reduce the likelihood of serious injuries. The new CPSC standard states the owner/operator of the swing set needs to post warning signs outside the use zone that are readily visible to the intended viewer and alert them to the potential hazard in time to take appropriate action. This message may be on either a sign or label outside the use zone. Signs should be posted that state the appropriate age group for the swing set. Not for Adults. Adults should supervise children at all times. Do not allow children to stand on or use unsafely. Do not allow set to be used if damaged. Remove helmets, drawstrings or accessories around the neck which are all known to create head entrapment or entanglement hazards. Where applicable, Hot play surfaces are known to reach temperatures high enough to cause serious burns to children generally less than 4 years of age. Specifications for all warning signs or labels should conform to ANSI Z535.1 and ANSI Z535.1 or ANSI Z535.1 in the following areas: legibility, type of lettering, clarity of message and symbol, color specifications and work message and visibility. The labels or signs should be durable and conform to UL 969. It has been and continues to be the responsibility of the owner/operator to replace signs or labels or both should they become illegible, destroyed or removed. Maintenance: At beginning and end of each play season and once a month during play season, check for sharp edges on hardware and/or cracks in rubber. Make sure the steel insert is not showing through rubber. Check for vandalism. Check for rusty or worn chain. Replace parts if necessary. Check to make sure S-hooks and/ or Shackles are closed properly. Check resilient surfacing for appropriate depth and cleanliness. If you see wear on a swing, replace all swings purchased at the same time. Remove swings from set when temperature reaches zero or over 100°. Maintain detailed inspection and maintenance records for public-use playground equipment.Any damage from vandalism, abuse or misuse VOIDS all warranties.
