This costume is the best one I've ever had; better than I could have made myself (and I'm a pretty good seamstress). It's worth the price for the crinoline alone! We swing dance for fun, and this passed the scrutiny of a LOT of dancers.It's true to size; I wear a 14-16 in "real life," and the 1X was a bit large on me, but still wearable. The crinoline should fit even a larger person, because I had to safety pin it up. The quality is VERY good.I unreservedly recommend this outfit; it's very well made and will flatter the larger lady. Go for it!

Since this costume had contradictory reviews about sizing, I ignored the reviews that said it ran big and erred on the side of caution.BIG MISTAKE! (Since it buttoned up the front,I did not want to risk the blouse gaping at the bustline.) Turns out, the blouse is HUGE, there was no way I could wear it and I did not have time for a return/exchange!I was able to make the skirt work since it had strong, wide elastic. (I think they may use the same skirt for multiple sizes as there was no size label inside it.). The crinoline was another story, it was big with narrow/weak elastic & if it weren't for the skirt and belt being over it, it probably would not have stayed up.I had to improvise and ended up wearing a white top with a black cardigan sweater over it. It probably actually ended up looking better than the blouse would have. (esp. with the saddle oxfords I bought to wear with the costume which were, btw, WONDERFUL, very comfortable and really completed the outfit. The white top pulled the whole outfit together, really making them stand out.)My disappointment is due to the fact that I feel like I spent way too much on the costume since the blouse is worthless and I cannot use the crinoline with other things unless there's a waistband or belt over it to hold it up!My costume was so big, I think I might could have even gone down TWO sizes and it would have fit! (I usually wear a size 10 pant, but need 14/XL tops due to my bust. I ordered the XL to prevent gaping buttons, but think I probably could have ordered a MEDIUM instead and the blouse would have fit!!)

This was a great costume but the shirt was HUGE! I am "big up top" am often disappointed that costumes are to small in the bust area but this shirt was massive and so big it I looked like a house. The rest of the costume is great and I bought the shoes to match. Ended up ditching the shirt and using a black sweater which worked perfectly

First time I ordered from this company. The costume was a huge success. It did run big but not a problem. Was worth the money for sure.

I really wanted to find a fun costume that would also not higlight the fact that have a tad bit extra flesh, (to put it simply, I am about 50 lbs overweight) and would not be super expensive. I have ordered costumes from here a couple of times and it has been hit or miss with this company. My first costume was a Little Bo Peep costume, that was a quality costume and looked good on me without making me look more overweight than I already am. The second costume I got (a queen of the nile one) was a complete joke! The head piece was a cheap piece of junk and the dress was NOT made for heavier people at all! Now this costume is THE BOMB! It is great! I love all of the accessories that it came with and the colors are great and I am so excited to wear it too! I is also true to size, so I am thankful that I ordered the larger one. It isn't made of of some flimsy material either, it is made of good quality material. I think the price for this is a bit steep at $131, maybe a better price would have been $100. Nonetheless I am excited to wear it to work for our annual Halloween costume contest and to hand out treats from our new home! You can't go wrong with this costume!

We have a lot of themed parties at my house for birthdays, anniversaries, etc. I always dress according to the theme and I have never, ever, purchased a costume on line that was this fabulous. The quality of the fabric and sewing is first rate. The price may seem extravagant - but it is worth every penny and more. I will always check out this site for costumes in the future. Our party is tomorrow night and I will add a picture then.
