There's no reason to install performance-degrading inferior speaker cable in your home theater or whole-house audio system. Low cost, fully optimized Audtek Electronics audiophile grade speaker cable is the better option! Audtek Electronics' fine copper wire strands minimize capacitance that causes low frequency losses, and each insulated conductor is twisted tightly in pairs to reduce high frequency attenuation caused by excessive inductance.
This tight twist also results in a rounder cable profile, making the product much easier to pull around sharp-cornered studs or through conduit. Audtek Electronics in-wall cable features a smooth, easy to feed, tube-style outer jacket for easy installation and wire preparation. UL listed, RoHS compliant, and CL2-rated (temperature rated to 75° C).
Audtek uses pure copper strands in its OFC speaker wire. You'll see OFC (Oxygen Free Copper) in many places which means the copper strands go through an additional process making it more than 99% pure copper and the result reduces resistance which increases conductivity. Increasing conductivity delivers more wattage/current to speakers or other components.
Available at a lower cost is CCA (Copper Clad Aluminum) speaker wire, which is aluminum strands covered by a thin layer of copper. Pure copper's conductivity is 35% to 40% better than CCA due to the resistance that aluminum strands add to the signal transfer. That means you would have to buy a larger gauge of CCA wire to get the same result as OFC wire. CCA wire is also very hard to get good solder results when making your own cables. Even in premade cables, the wires are more likely to separate from the connectors and cause intermittent failures. This is why we strongly recommend Audtek OFC wire and cable for all you hookup needs.
