Soo, I have owned a 1962 Epiphone Pacemaker for the last twenty years. It was a wretched mess of an amp. Perfect shape and near mint, but holy-cow did this thing sound terrible... Ice pick to the ears like no other! The amp was useless, uninspiring and basically a boat anchor. Dropped this speaker in it, took out the Sprauge 34;tone-suck34; circuit and changed a couple cathode bypass resistors. Now this thing is taking names! The speaker was 90 of the improvement. Excellent! Pricey but well worth it to me. Put it in a vintage silverface Princeton Reverb and it sounds great. Some people think they are a bit stiff at first and need a bit to 34;break in34; but I gig weekly so it was getting all night workouts right out of the box and I haven't really noticed any tone shift after 3 months of gigging it. Sounds great every time. Alnico has that sweet top end and this speaker also has a robust tight bass response. I do everything from Dwight Yoakam to Jason Aldean and it is a pleasure to use.

Fantastic upgrade to the stock Fender Princeton 69' Reissue. Instant amp fix! Ive had 3 of these newer Princetons and the stock Jensen just does not sound good (to me). It's brittle sounding with weak bass response and doesn't take distortion pedals very well. This G10 is warm and huge sounding with a nice top end. It takes distortion pedals very well and has a ton of headroom. I can crank the amp on 10 and get a glassy 34;fender34; breakup.

IT really did take some time to break in. I almost panicked the first time I played through my '75 Princeton Reverb, but low and behold, I kept playing week after week and eventually this opened up to sound soo sweet. A tad bluesy, if that's the right word, and very clean. I use a lot of effect pedals and am pleased with all results. I wonder what the 1234; sounds like!?

Just bought a vintage 1967 Fender Super Reverb that was perfect in every respect except for the 50 year old, very brittle original speakers. Popped in 4 Celestion Gold speakers - unbelievable! Sound is incredible up down the spectrum! Amp is so quiet, I thought I had wired them wrong until I grabbed my Strat around the neck. Then I heard the faintest of string sounds. Mind you the amp volume gain were on 5 as was the volume on my Strat! Dead silence! But as soon as I put pick to strings off we went!! Been playing 50 years these are definitely the best I've heard!
