I've had one for a couple of years now and I'm very happy with sound and quality and always wanted another one to run each one in bridge mode. Don't know if this is considered true monoblocking but they do sound as good as my ears can tell to more expensive amps. I would recommend these to anyone who listens to average to a little above listening volume. I have mine setup for two channel audio and two channel home theater in my living room. I gave 4 stars only because there is better amps but not for this price point.

I got 8 years of occasional (weekly) use out of this amp until one day, the right channel decided to stop working. That seems like it should be enough to be satisfied, but in my opinion, there's no good reason a piece of equipment like this should fail after that amount of time. I have Rotels that are 5 times as old and still kicking.I doubt I will be buying another Dayton Audio product.

Using a Dayton APA150 to drive a 12 subwoofer on 5.1 Channel surround sound home theater system (room is 13 X 20 ft.) Sounds crisp and clear, no noticeable distortion. Tried pushing a 150 watt RMS sub and subwoofer was breaking up a max power, replaced subwoofer with a 500 RMS woofer I had laying around and now it can shake the windows ( just little) at max power (250 RMS sub is probably a good match). This unit is great for music movies because cooling fan only turns on during heavy loads. You can get more power for your buck but most units I saw in this price range had loud continuous running fans that you can hear when watching movies and/or higher distortion. Automatic on/off and quality connections are also nice features

I tried a Fosi TP-02, Emotiva Basx 3, and this Dayton Audio APA150 on TWO 50w 4 ohm Aura Bass shakers. This Dayton Audio barely even put out a whimper. I was completely shocked how vast in difference in power there was after all the rave reviews. My best metaphor is by comparison to cars and speed. The Dayton Audio was like a Ford Ranger hauling a bed full of dirt. The Fosi Amp with only ONE Aura bass shaker was like a Camaro SS. And the Emotiva Basx3 like a Corvette.Bass shakers! Go with a Fosi TP-02 per bass shaker for the cheapest option. U can use it with two but it's kinda a tease. Otherwise, find something that feeds the bass shaker a minimum of 100w rms.You will waste your time with this Dayton Audio. It looks nice but those 60-70w rms, 120w at 8ohms stats are BS. I really wanted this to work because I didn't want two Fosi amps in my entertainment center. However I would take one Fosi amp over 11 of these wimpy Dayton Audio APA150'S.

I have to say for the price l'm very happy, I bought an old school stereo console for $40.00 and went to work rebuilding it. I am using 2 of these amps to power everything one for my mids and highs and the second one for the console mounted subwoofer bridged in mono. This project turned out awesome and has sound to match. I only wish Dayton Audio offered this same compact amp with a high wattage output. The speakers are also Dayton Audio matched up with a Skar Audio 8 sub l had just sitting around doing nothing. Today l've had the music playing for about 6 hours straight and niether amp is even warm to the touch.

Collecting dust. Not nearly as loud to even push a computer satellite sub. Highly cool looking. Utter disappoint.

The pleasures trials of using Linux. I have this hooked to a Sound blaster X4 USB DAC since I needed something I didn't need a driver for and it sounds great.I have a lot of music that for want of a better word is nuanced. Every thing from the Doors Riders on the storm to Lil Durk Morgan Wallen's Broadway Girls sounds sharp, clean and clear to the point you may find things you didn't hear before. It will end up powering a sub-woofer since you can bridge it to mono for 150 watts.

Died after just six years of very intermittent use. Probably five hundred hours, total. I would expect an audio amp to last longer than this. I bought two of these in 2016.The delay relay no longer engages upon turn-on.
