It's everything I expected it to be. If local jam night didn't kill it nothing will. Those cats don't have a clue about dynamics.

I had two Eminence Legend CA1059 (8-ohm) 10 drivers with aluminum clad voice coils. They aren't bad, but I prefer the sound of the CA10-8 with copper voice coils. What's the difference?- purer sound, more lifelike- less metallic and shrilly sounding- copper voice coils are more mellow sounding vs sounding angry with aluminum- old school copper voice coils conduct electricity better, without much SPL lossesOTHER THOUGHTS- I bought two, both had minimal packaging...like being used units and reboxed (but, appeared to be new)- Excellent gel bead gasket!!! It squeezes and conforms to your cabinet when screwing the driver down- bass guitar, men's vocals, low organ sounds are lifelike with a slight growl ...not bad tho- these ones seem to handle power better vs the CA1059 with a higher power rating4/5 star rating till I have more time with these 10 drivers

This speaker is a great replacement for my blown Hartke speaker. I paired this with a TC Electronics compact 200w bass amp in my kickback combo cabinet. It turned out to be a sweet combination with great sound and solid simplicity. My new amp is great for trio work, rehearsals and general purposes. This was a solid buy.

I put this speaker in a prefabricated ported cabinet , driving it with a 50 year old Ampeg SST 300 watt head . The sound is excellent . I am using this set up in a small studio , but it would fill a very large room with no trouble at all .

On another site, I read a review where a customer replaced the speaker in their Kustom KXB100 with the Eminence Legend CA154 15 speaker. They said it was a direct fit replacement and the the sound quality improved. They also made mention that the hissing sound was greatly reduced. Well boys and girls, I can verify that is exactly the case. Before I had to turn the treble down to min to eliminate the background hissing noise. Now, It only starts to leak through above half treble.I was also worried the eminence was double the power and the amp would have difficulty driving the new speaker. NOT the case. The Eminence is a more efficient speaker and I get noticeably more volume at the same setting. The tone is also warmer and The B string , on the 5 string, now sounds like it should.Overall, it's a good $100 upgrade. Thanks for reading my review.

I replaced an old Peavey Scorpion speaker. Sounds is good. For the price it was a great deal. Instead of re-coning the old one it made sense for an extra 20 dollars get a new speaker, very happy with the old practice amp. Full range sound. I am using an old Mark IV head. It pumps when I need it it's good enough to gig

Works great in my ported Hartke 1415 combo bass amp.

Way better than buying a combo amp. I put together a small cab and solder this speaker and cable jack to it and I love it. I use a Darkglass Microtubes 900 and it sound great with it. I mainly use the cab (this speaker) for at home practice, but it's actually loud enough to jam with a full group practice session. If you can solder the wiring, I highly recommend this guyPro tip: before purchasing, make sure the amp head you decide to use is the same AMPS as the speaker. Not watts. AMPS!!! You will destroy your investments if you don't pay attention to what you purchase.
