I love the sound of these headphones. Distorted electric guitars sound amazing, and jazz is clear and spacious, however... after about a year of using them nearly everyday, I started to notice a little crackling in the right side, and it's gotten worse to the point of being unlistenable. It's a real bummer. These would be perfect if they'd just switch to a single cable instead of the Y cable. And the Y cable gets twisted up all the damn time, so don't get it twisted, they do get twisted. Anyway, I just upgraded to the SR125, AND I bought the 2 year warranty. Highly recommend that if you get these. I'm not saying they're cheap, but if you're rough on headphones, be advised.

Sound: greatComfort: fair, not for extended listeningCord: heavy duty, unusually stiff (not flexible)Sound leaks out quite a bit bothering folks around me at higher volumeThese are not noise cancelling headphones, in fact, they leak sound like crazy. My partner tells me to turn my volume down while he's watching TV all the time. The cord is so heavy duty that goes in wild directions as I move around, and when I take the headphones off and set them down. The main cord and individual cords to each ear do not flex or bend easily and don't want to twist at all.

they are plastic and feel fragile. Really fragile. But the sound is wonderful. I'll update after some time as to how well they hold up.

Got them as nothing would work on my friend's big eared head, for once something doesn't scratch them, I mean they just sit on his ears than his head! Beats spending 180 on a set of cans and earmuffs custom to him. These are really tight out of the box, you're supposed to bend the band slightly enough to make them just kiss your ears softly, otherwise these are really good. These X Models actually have some bass, but you will need to have a bassy song, they have some punch but they aren't that strong still. These are one of those buy and forget type of headphones, but for one thing and they last your kid's lifetime

Quality is great, metal where metal is needed plastic where plastic should be used, the cable is horrible I do need to say that, also recommend stretching the headphones a bit to make sure they fit your head shape, other than that highly recommended

Exceptional sound quality with almost uncanny separation between various elements of the music. If you want to hear realistic rendition of your music these are hard to beat. The open design is not best in an environment with background noise or one where you are in close proximity to others. The foam of the headphones would likely be more comfortable for long wearing sessions, but I suspect the harder foam was chosen for better acoustics and durability.Overall, these are real audiophile headphones.

The Grado 80x are a very good headphone for the price. The highs can be a little much but, the mid range is spot on the base is perfect. I have heard very expensive headphones 4 to 5 times as much . The Grados far exceed what I was expecting. The sound stage is wide and crystal clean. So if you are looking for a great budget headphone don't look no further. Highly recommend and definitely buy again.

I bought these based off the recommendation from a YouTube channel. The headphones sound way better than they should. Just go ahead and buy them if you're on the fence about it, you'll be glad you did.
