Happened upon some silver solder in the past. Even though there is only 2 silver, the ratios seem to work out really well in how this solder performs. The way it flows due to capillary action when heated and it's 34;sticktion34; are just enough different to notice; in a good way. The small 0.02034; diameter makes it easier to add only the quantity of solder that is needed.

SILVER SOLDER SHOULD BE THE ONLY SOLDER SOLD. Because its the only kind of solder that sticks to anything easily, you can reheat it over and over and over a million times without it turning into dust like that rosin core garbage most companies sell. IT IS A SUPERIOR Solder, remember the 3 numbers 62/ 36/ 2 Silver. 4 Silver 96 Tin) Burn these numbers into your mind and ONLY BUY THIS KIND OF SOLDER, the rest of the types sold are 100 absolute trash. You know the most common type that is sold the 60/40, that makes me wonder why its even manufactured. Silver solder works as easily as LEAD SOLDER BUT without the lead and unlike every other kind of shit solder. Silver solder DOESN'T BURN UR TIPS AT ALL, in fact it coats them with a nice silver finish that is super hot unlike the other type of common crap that eats the tips and also creates a carbon layer that blocks heat transfer. Its mind boggling to me how people even sell any other kind of solder. Its almost like they sell something they never used or maybe they don't know that in 2018 chemists made good silver solder like this.

The good stuff! You don't always need silver in your solder, but when it is called for, this appears to be one of the better deals out there.

Excellent solder with handy packaging for on site rework! This solder composition along with the Kester 44 flux makes shiny and sold solder joints a breeze. I liked this solder so much that I ordered a 1lb spool due to the lower cost per ounce (Kester 24-7150-0018). I used to use Cardas quad eutectic solder years ago, but several years back they changed the flux and alloy, and the results were poor for such an expensive solder. I then moved to Radio Shack Silver bearing high tech solder and loved it, but it's no longer available. Searching for a replacement is how I found this Kester 44 leaded silver bearing solder, and wish I had found out about it many years ago!

Excellent solder. Using a bit of this at about 300 degrees C makes removing lead-free solder much easier on SMD or through-hole components.
