I liked how it came with good instructions, also saw YouTube videos on it, personally think that if they had the option to have it in stainless steal that would be cool but plastic works flawlessly. Makes it look factory hiding the cuts from the dash. Definitely reccomemt

Fit my 1983 Chevy K20 Scottsdale truck very nicely. Good quality. I used this template to change the standard radio mount location in my truck to accept a single DIN style radio. This template kit fit the dash exactly and provided an exact fit template to cut my dash and dash panel to a very clean exact fit DIN opening. The finished project looks great. It would be nicer if it was a metal template instead of plastic. But it did the job I needed and worked great.

You need to have a un adulterated dash for this to fit correctly, I did not know that when I bought this. This does what it should bit it didn't work for me. I ended up getting a $12 cutting board from Walmart and cut it to fit in the space I had using this as a template.

Pictures show metal backing plate to help support the radio. Came in all plastic. Very cheap. Called Metra they said they changed it in 2020 To cheap plastic junk. Radio bounces around

You really have to read the description... I purchased this item due to the fact the picture showed a metal support plate and when I received this item, it was in fact plastic! I went back and re-read the description and it states it is plastic. Not satisfied at all. This is very misleading.
