The PRV Audio 15W700 15" professional audio woofer is designed to be a perfect drop-in replacement for many popular PA speaker cabinets and works equally well in ported or sealed cabinets. A ribbed paper cone is employed to give you the classic tone associated with many high-end speakers.
Moving to the motor, you'll find features not normally associated with other drivers at this price point: a 3" diameter voice coil with a Kapton® former and 5.5 mm of Xmax, high sensitivity, and a fairly low free-air resonance that allows this driver to play down below 40 Hertz. A specially designed resin was been applied to the woven spider for increased longevity, and the cloth accordion surround ensures smooth, accurate sound.

I use two of these per side on an open baffle speaker (U-frame) setup. I use them from 0-400Hz and they are very fast and musical. Not the 34;one-note34; thudding bass that heavy coned subwoofers have. 120W is the max my amp can give them, and they can easily handle it without strain or distortion. More than enough at 120W to blast me out of my 3-car garage. Great specs, and outstanding price. VERY happy with my purchase.
