He fell ill from a beating and bone breakingat the hands of Paul. The Lutheran family Stanislauslived with in Vienna would not allow a priest to visithim. So he prayed to Saint Barbara, who appearedto him with two angels to administer Communion.Stanislaus was then cured by the Blessed Motherwho told him to become a Jesuit.He was clothed in the Jesuit habit in 1567against his family?s wishes.
