I purchased the Medium 8-10 in this Girls TMNT Michelangelo costume it was a perfect fit. I went back and forth about the sizes for a while before placing the order so I will share as much sizing information as I can in this review. My daughter is 6 years old and currently on the verge of outgrowing clothes in size 6X. She is between 44 45 inches tall weighs approximately 54lbs. Compared to other 1st graders in her class, she is short, so I worried about the costume being too long (it was not too long). In my personal experience and opinion, this runs small. This Med 8-10 fit more like a 6X. I would definitely order a size up. As far as appearance, the costume was really cute. I used plastic packing bubbles to puff up the shell as it's flat wrinkly unless you stuff it with something to shape it. The shell is attached with 2 pieces of Velcro so I worried it would come loose, but it held up and stayed put beautifully. The material is fairly thin so my daughter wore a shirt shorts underneath with leg warmers. I noticed other reviews stating the mask had places flaked off. This was true with ours as well. It didn't look terrible, but obviously that's not ideal on something purchased brand new. I took 1 star away due to the mask, questionable sizing the packaging looked old and almost dirty (the costume did not look like the packaging). There aren't many options in girly TMNT costumes, so I would still recommend this one.
