This splint works very well. So much so, I bought 2 of them. I use one at night for sleeping, and the other I use in therapy; some exercises require my hand to be open. I've tried other splints and this is by far more comfortable and easier to put on. My only complaint is that the velcro strength is diminished after 3 to 4 months. I had to get other, stronger velcro straps for it.

My husband needs a hand brace to hold his fingers flat at night to prevent muscle contraction. This splint does keep his hand flat but it's much too complicated to put on. It's made to fit on either hand so it can be confusing as to which direction the straps should be wrapped. While wrapping the straps, the velcro on them tends to stick the straps together and you have to tear them apart and start over. Color coding would have helped the application process. My husband is disabled and there is no way he can put this brace on by himself. I don't recommend it for people without good hand coordination.
