Removable filter protector extends cartridge life in challenging conditions. Quick connect fittings make installation and removal of input and output hoses easy. Not too heavy for our camping trips and easy to use but...Filter cloged a lot quicker than expected which was a hassle when remote camping. Crystal clear lake on NH/ME border with very high water quality and the filter only lasted 3 days even with the plastic pre-filter before clogging. Maybe 12 gallons of water pumped through it before I had to scrub the plastic pre-filter. Could have been due to what I stirred up while walking in the lake even though the water still looked crystal clear. Were able to pump directly from the lake into our hydration bags without a problem using the included attachments which was a very nice feature!

Used this on a backpacking trip to Relief Reservoir and this thing was used constantly. My girlfriend and I drank gallons of water for the 4 days we were there and it tasted great. We tried it on the reservoir, some streams as well as at the base of the waterfall. Everytime it worked like a champ. It’s lightweight and looks great.
