I found mine doesn't droop, and it has a good lighting area. I'm using it for seedlings after they germinate. I'm very happy with it.

I'm sure our orchid will love this lamp. It arrived 4 days early, was very easy to assemble and is 'in production' even as we speak.

I actually bought these lights for the yard. I live in a house with a yard in NYC and the Bamboo hardly gets enough light. But after receiving these I realize that they are not waterproof. But working on a cover that will make them be able to be used outside. In the mean time, I'm using two of them in the laundry area of basement where it's dark. They are Great! Easy to attach to pipes or overhead ceiling rafters and give a lot of light. If you want to save energy you can put a high efficiency light bulb. Which you can buy ANYWHERE! That's the best part. This is a household full of specialty bulbs from all over the world. To buy a light bulb here is like doing a research project. So these are a VERY NICe addition to the house!I'm buying more!..lol

This light works great on my plants. I get no sun in my place and this was wonderful and made it so I could have some plants. The only problem is that it is very hard to open and shut the clamps that hold it on something and also to move the top around so that it hits the plants.It does make them grow though!

It's a basic light when you need a close range grow lamp. You need to have it pretty close to your seedlings or the light is less effective. Well, that's according to the instructions anyway.

I bought this to provide supplemental light to my Bonsai and it works perfect for what I needed. The clamp is very strong and the fixture easily clips on securely and holds the light in place. Other reviewers have mentioned the light gets hot. I disagree a bit, the light does get fairly warm but not too hot. I have the light 13 from my Bonsai plant and the warmth is hardly felt. The housing for the bulb gets the hottest but I really do not think it is much of an issue for me. I would not place the light near a curtain or blinds but I would not say it gets overly hot.+ Warm Color Light, Not Bright White Like Florescent bulbs+ Very Strong Clamp+ On/Off Switch+ Rotates/Twists/Adjusts to Many Positions+ Easily Replace Bulb+ Price+ Great Supplemental Light Source- Would be nice if the On/Off switch were on the cord not the housing_Bottom Line_ Yes, I would recommend this light to a friend. The further away the light is placed, the wider the angle of light allowing for multiple plants under the light. I have several plants under it and they are all doing very well. I just put two screws into a stud on the wall and then hooked the clamp to the screws. I am very confident the light is secure. I like that if/when the bulb goes out I can buy the same bulb or try something else.

I was using these lights to help a variety of vegetable seedlings along before it was planting time. I eventually bought a second light, and together they adequately covered a roughly 2'X3' area. The only problem was that, as others have said, one of the light bulbs burnt out early, and needed to be replaced. Despite that, my results were quite good, and I will have many healthy plants to put in the ground shortly.

This is a nice economical way to start seeds early. I clamped this to one of those 4-tier pop up green houses that are about $20 and now I already have plants to put in the garden. I rotated the light from the top to bottom level of my greenhouse or you could probably buy a couple.
