I like everything about it. Easy to light, Easy to install tanks, gave off great heat. We got it for outdoor concert at church. I felt very save with the heater.

I had bought a used faulty Big Buddy($75) from a not so honest person on marketplace, so I sold it with full disclosure ( it would only stay lit for 4 mins then shut off) for $40 couldn't really afford a new one, but after hiring an Amish man to convert my garage into a large kitchen/living room he cut 4 registers in the floor but didn't connect the vents to the furnace. So I had no heat in this main living quarters ..... This came just in time as it is Oct and getting cold in NE Ohio, I do have a wood burner but needed something for when its 30 or 40 night and 50 to 60 during the day This heater is PERFECT and I am thrilled it came with a fan, didn't expect that, as I read they stopped making them with fans.I am now a big Buddy fan for life .....Thank you so much Mr Heater you saved this old lady

I bought as a backup. My original Big Buddy with fan still works fine, but may have lost some efficiency. Used three winters in the foothills of the Sierras. The fan lasted two winters. Fan works but noisy. You can replace the fan assembly though. Overall for the price, these are great heaters.

I had purchased a Camco Wave 3 several years ago for another project and decided to make use of in in a small hobby shop (10'x12'- 7' tall ceiling), insulated at about R-6 rating. I found that the heater was incapable of heating the room more than 20 degrees above outside temperatures. I purchased the Mr. Heater Big Boy as a replacement. My first test I turned the heater to high, it increased the room temperature to over 90 degrees with an outside temperature of about 44 degrees within minutes. I let the room cool down to outside temperature, re ignited the heater setting it on low. The room heated up to 90 degrees but it took considerably longer to reach that temperature. I feel comfortable that the heater will be more than sufficient to keep the shop warm even in the most drastic conditions. The only option I would like to see is a thermostat where one could like in ones home. The Camco Wave 3 was a complete waste of $300 and will be sold at the next garage sale.

I am going to use this on my bus conversion with awful insulation and great airflow. When we have a power outage or it gets below zero, this bad boy is gonna keep me toasty, maybe even sweaty? It has plenty of safety feature. Make sure you read the instructions with this piece though. A carbon monoxide detector is a must, ventilation is a must, and making sure this isn't near a curtain or a bed sheet is a must. Will run mine off a 15lbs tank (They reduced ours by 5 LBS and think we wouldn't notice) though the option to run it off 2 tanks and just carry the unit is super nice. I'd cuddle up with it if I didn't know it would burn me.
