I contacted Todd Emslie, an expert on receiving weak RF signals, and he claims that the degree to which these cables are bent by being bundled so tightly does not cause any significant problems. So, they should be suitable even to connect a UHF antenna to a preamp. Still, they do LOOK "kinky," and I don't understand why it's necessary to bundle them so tightly.

These cables, or at least the ones I got, were sent in a tight coil that is then flattened and tied with a twist tie, causing even tighter bends. Tight bends supposedly permanently change the cable's RF characteristics by distorting its cross-section where it is bent. I was going to use them for connecting TV antennas with weak output signals to a preamp, but decided not to use them because I can't afford to waste any signal. However, for larger signals and lower frequencies, they're probably fine, unless you mind their kinkiness.
