Hook and loop needs to be stronger. Some papers stick better than others. This is the second pad I've replaced in 6 months. Our club uses the sander a lot.

This is the third time I'm replacing this pad, and I don't even use my orbit sander every day. The velcro surface which grabs the fuzzy back of the sandpaper discs eventually loses its grab in a small area, and that's enough to create a flap when the sander is on full speed.Maybe the self adhesive discs are better. They are cheaper. But you have thchange the pad to the one that accepts the self-adhesive discs .

This was ordered as a replacement for a foam pad that disintegrated. It appears to be much better than the one that came with it. Fit perfectly and easy to install.

This pad did not properly fit my model sander as was advertised. It required extensive trimming and drilling to get this pad on my sander. The hook and loop though is fairly robust and holds the paper well.

This is a direct fit for the sanding pad on Makita sanders.It works very well but the material deteriorates over time which is the reason I had to replace the pad.It should be much less vulnerable to moisture and heat/cold.It should be a solid rubber pad instead of the foam rubber.

Appear to be an upgraded material (rubber) holding the pieces together. My old pad fell apart and the material in the original part seemed to be softer but also weaker.
