I purchased this wrench as a replacement for one that a friend broke when he put a pipe on it and tried to loosen a lug nut on my vehicle. The one he broke was an earlier model which is no longer made and SK told me this one was the replacement. The head on this one is actually larger than the old one but I don't know if that means it's stronger or not.

Right out of the package you can see that this SK 42472 ratchet is a professional top of the line tool. It feels solid, well built and has MADE IN THE USA quality!! The fact that there are no head pivot detents feels kind of strange to me, but its just a matter of getting used to not having any, thats all. Overall, its a great investment to add to anyones tool collection. 50 Tooth ratchet!

The head is a bit too large to large to get into some spaces, but you can really apply some force and break stuff loose without feeling like the tool is at risk and without the handle flexing. I have a snap-on 3/834; drive ratchet which is about as long that I use whenever this wont fit... but it doesn't seem as rigid. I'm pretty sure neither will break in my lifetime, however.
