18g monofilament bent retainers are comfortable in any piercing were a ring is normally worn. They are especially effective in eyebrows because they make this very visible piercing invisible!
Bent monofilament can be worn in well healed navel piercings, but be sure to get one that is a little long to accomodate bending, stretching and moving. These are wonderful in 18g rooks,daiths, tragus and outer cartilage piercings as well.
These are slightly thinner than the actual gauge (18g) in the center, slightly larger than 16g at the ends. This makes the retainer more comfortable for insertion while retaining the piercing size. They work well in almost any 18g piercing
Taking a picture was difficult as these are completely clear.
INSERTION: We recommend the use of water based lubricant such as KY for insertion. Some might want to use a retainer that is a gauge thinner than the actual piercing to comfortably accommodate the larger end piece.

The barbell the shop put in fell out the first night I went to sleep! So I had these retainers in for most of the time that my new piercing was healing, and they were very comfortable even despite the swelling. It worked out since I wasn't sure about our work dress code. (Gotta love the vague as long as it's not distracting.)

I got these clear pieces hoping that they'd be invisible so that I could keep the piercing despite my job's dress code- clear does not mean invisible! Oh well. All four pieces are exactly as pictured and functional. I've been wearing one of the pieces for about a week now and have had no issues with balls falling off, they're plenty durable! If you wear makeup, it will adhere to the plastic more than it does to metal type jewelry if that's what you're used to, but it's easily wiped off.

Crappy quality. On the first barbell, the ball burst as soon as I screwed it on. Tried again with the second barbell and it seemed to hold up but then the next time I looked, it also shattered. The O-ring retainer one is still holding (all I've done is sleep so far) but the O-ring is pretty loose so I feel like it'll slip out any minute.I waited a few months to use this product so it's too late to do anything about it.If you need a trustworthy retainer, I suggest investing in a better quality one.
