Easy install and great performance so far. Combined with Duesenberg double bender, I'm doing crazy bends on the g and b strings. I'm talking 3 WHOLE STEPS bro. No string breakage so far, tuning stability is surprisingly good. Plus it looks cool and chicks dig a slick nut bro

I got this as a replacement for my '90 Strat Plus that had the Wilkenson setup (that I never liked). I had the benefit of a roller nut on there already, so no routing or and hard stuff for the install. Unless you know exactly what you're doing, and feel comfortable routing and filing, better to take it your luthier.YOU WILL NEED A 000 PHILIPS PRECISION SCREWDRIVER! A 0 IS WAY TOO BIG!I know the directions say 0 point but believe me, that will be too big to get into the screw head!Once installed it looks great and now that I've got my Strat with fresh strings on and this new nut, it's back to playing like it should. BTW, the 51 drill bit is the ONLY one to use. So Fender got half of it right... And watch turning the neck over with no strings on, the miniature ball-bearings can and will fall out!

This is on a 1974 strat. This nut is almost 1/8 wider than my factory one. It would totally screw up the string spacing. As a matter of fact I think the e strings would ride on the edge of the neck, or be completely off of it. Just another case of the things that work for the rest of the world don't include me. No way in hell will I butcher my strat to install this. I may send it back or save it for a kit build in the future.

Definitely an upgrade. Tone is great. Tuning stability is awsome. Installation isn't that difficult, if you pay attention to the details and measurements in the instructions and think whatever process you're going to use BEFORE you start.

Fender Strat Deluxe Plus have those annoying Wilkerson nuts that only allow for light strings. But if your heavy handed as I am, that won't do because I want my E string at .056..(Med to Light sets ) This roller not allows that with no string buzz!I use just the string tension to hold the nut in place and it works fine. They give you the screws but not the special size drill bit..which has to be ordered and me taking a drill to my $1300! Guitar is another issue

So I purchase a bunch of upgrades for my MIM Strat but after learning I would have to widen the space on the neck to make this fit I decided I didn't have the berries to attempt this install. So it sits in a drawer waiting for a day when I've developed the skills to put it on.
