I bought this to store valuables in when I am away from my truck. I have an older model GMC pickup and the door locks can be opened by a worn key from the same vintage, so locking the doors isn't really very secure at all. I mounted this under the driver's seat and bolted it to the floor. If you have power seats you are out of luck due to all the motors. They make a smaller size that could be mounted on it's side if you don't have at least 6 clearance under the seat. One could also be mounted behind the passenger seat with the door facing the driver's side on extended cab models. The quality is top notch, even though it's made in China (why do you think it's so cheap?). Solidly constructed of 1/8 steel and welded all around. Nice hammer tone paint too. I was considering a GunVault for twice the price, but they are made of really thin sheet metal and would be a lot easier to break into IMHO.
