We had multiple apartment buildings stolen from - they fished the checks out of the mail drop slot.This was the easiest, most economical way to make the drop slot secure. This product is extremely sturdy, easy to install, and the drop slot mechanism with teeth makes me confident it would be absolutely impossible to fish checks out of.Honestly, should have bought this a long time ago - I just didn't know it existed!

I installed this on an exterior door, where it is exposed to the elements, and it started to rust almost right away. It's going to look like garbage in no time. It's too pricey to be so quickly affected by rain hitting it. It also leaks when it rains, and gathers water in the bottom. I'm sure if it was inside, it'd be fine; but don't install it on an exterior door if you mind it looking rusty and junky.

This dropbox is constructed to fit a normal thickness door but the mounting screws included are at least one inch to long and would go through the door by at least that amount.

This box has proven itself to be sturdy and theft proof. Last night someone tried to fish envelopes out of this box in order to steal $. The culprit attempted 4 different times to thief the contents and was unsuccessful. I do not regret this purchase at all!

We purchased his locking drop box to use as a key drop for our auto repair shop. It was easy to install in the office door and gives piece of mind that no one can fish the keys out of it from the outside. Excellent item that I wish we had found out about years ago.
