Like others have said, it's a transparent plastic with a solid-foam backing.Small enough to store in a small cubical and comes with mounting options (if needed).I had to add a couple of additional magnets to mine so it wouldn't slide down the surface of my cabinet.Saves billions of dollars in post-its (an exaggeration, but a fun one).

This board is awesome. Let me warn you about a few things that some may not like first. The surface of the board is completely clear (which I think is VERY COOL). On the back of the board is a piece of white foam. The white foam gives the board's white appearance on the surface. Since the back is foam, it is soft and will not scratch any surface you hang or mount it on. Having the white foam on the back allows you to mount it to virtually anything! Okay, so I previously mentioned the warnings of this product because some may be surprised when they open the box and see a flat clear surface with a white rectangular foam object attached to the back serving two purposes, a soft back to mount anywhere, and the white background in order for you to see what you are writing.So I love this thing for several reasons. The surface is flat, so you can hang it on a window so that people can read it on the other side! There is a Starbucks in Morrisville, NC that posts their question of the day on it and that is when this product caught my eye. At a Starbucks drive through of all places! They had it inside the store attached to the drive through window so that you can read it from your car and since the surface is flat it is flush with the window inside the store! Super easy to read. Once I saw the product on the window at that Starbucks I had to have it for a million reasons that I do not have time to list. The board is durable. I am a videographer by trade, and I am always using dry erase boards at shoots at different jobs. What I like about this board was the fact that I could use it to write on as well as use it to white balance my cameras. Not to mention it is small, easy for traveling, and it looks freaking cool. The sales photograph of the product does do it justice. Who ever decided to use that as their selling photograph should be fired. Quartet you need to to hire me to advertise your stuff! I also use it at my desk to tell people if I'm in a marketing meeting, at lunch, or to simply say "stay away from my desk it is radioactive and I have cooties!" LOL I almost forgot to drive this home.....the edges are clear which makes it look really fancy, cool, and modern. I just got it and I have had so many people ask me where I got it. So when I'm in Morrisville, NC at the Starbucks I always smile when I get my coffee and think thanks for the wonderful coffee, great service, and for showing me such a wonderful dry erase board! Buy it you will absolutely love it!
