My red Rubbermaid Commercial Heavy-Duty BRUTE Dome Swing Top Door Lid for 44 my matching Gallon Waste Container is beautiful. The lid is durable plastic. Durable as in extremely hard, will take a lot to break or nick. This dome, though not cheap, is exactly what I wanted for my garbage can. My one issue is removing it from the garbage can. I put it on easily alone. It took 3 of us to figure out how to remove the lid. Thats good because it is very secure but bad when you cannot unsecure it alone. Overall I give this lid 4 stars with one removed due to the difficulty with lid removal.

The lid was awfully tight and noisy. I loosened one spring and it made it a little better. Works for me.

Nice piece of hardware. It is well made sturdy.great addition to our open top blue barrel. We had to do some trimming on our blue barrel to make it fit.
