I used Chemi-pure Elite in all of my reef tanks as an alternative to standard carbon. There is a noticeable improvement in water clarity and it does a reasonably good job at keeping nitrates and phosphates under control.They recommend changing it out every six months, but I seem to get better results by doing it every three.

I've used Chemi-pure Elite along with Purigen in my 29gal Biocube. I had switched to another product and quickly had hair algae and cyano. Switched back to Chemi-Pure Elite and Purigen and the cyano is nearly completely gone and the hair algae is receding. You don't get a lot of space in an all-in-one so use it wisely!

Great product that is cheap. Reduced phosphates close to nothing along with nitrates and ammonia. Really does make water clear, it's like there is no glass on the aquarium. Is this real? Is water just floating defying gravity? No.. Just the chemipure elite! Really lasts longer than any foam for filter. Replace all foams with chenipure to reduce Maintenece.

Great product. Works well to reduce phosphates, and keeps water clear. It reduced my algae growth considerably: used to have to clean the tank every week, now once every three weeks.
