Does what I need it to do. I got the large one and it done fine to keep my baby dumbo rats in. Had no issues out of it and I have had it for several months.

I decided on this three gallon critter keeper for my betta after reading some mixed reviews. I've only owned it for a short while, but I can say that it is slightly smaller than the description says, but it still holds a little over 3 gallons of water. The plastic is rather thick and I don't have any fears of it cracking right now.

These are essentially the same thing as the plastic terrariums sold in your local pet store for about the same price. The plastic is very clear and you can see everything inside. The ventilated lids allow for great air circulation and will prevent humidity build up inside. When I first got these I was concerned that the ventilated plastic lids would break easily, but after using them for several months I have found them to be surprisingly durable.I ordered several of these, and what is great about them compared to glass tanks is that this plastic variety are stackable. When not in use I can stack a whole heap of these things together and save a lot of storage space, something I can not do with the glass versions. My only complaint is that the connection where the lids snap on is very tight, and it causes a loud snapping noise and a bit of vibration when you take them off. This may or may not disturb the creatures you have inside, in my case it did. This is a minor complaint though, these are an incredible value.

I use this for one of my betta fish. I love it because it's very inexpensive compared to an actual aquarium of the same size. I've been using it for 3 months now. It holds water very well and I have a sponge filter and an under gravel heater in it.

I received 3 of these today. They were in perfect condition except one which had a slight crack at the bottom of the cage. No big problem, and the crack will not be noticeable at all. Other than that I have no complaints. The product shipped fast and was just as described. I'm satisfied with this purchase.

Last month I was looking for a new and larger home for my red VT Betta Anubis. His one gallon tank wasn't cutting it because of the fact that it was too small and the Hydor mini heater I bought for him heated up his tank too quickly. I decided on another Kritter Keeper because my crowntail Betta Osiris. Unfortunately I couldn't remember which size I had bought for Osiris so I decided on a large Kritter Keeper for Anubis. There are no handles on the top of the lid on the large Kritter Keeper. That is fine. When I do my water changes on Osiris's tank, I pick up the Kritter Keeper by the body, not by the handles. I like the fact that on all Kritter Keepers there is a hole that allows me to put the cord to my mini heaters on each tank. That is quite helpful. Like all Kritter Keepers, it is nice to have a cover for the tank with a lid because Betta fish are notorious jumpers. I also like how the tank does not get easily heated it up by my heaters. With all the room that Anubis has now, I plan on adding a couple more decorations to his tank. He loves his new home as does his mother ;).
