I used this in my new tank because I wanted to get the nitrogen cycle to be in full gear without the long wait. I put this in every new tank with no fish loss. It has the beneficial bacteria and helps keep the amonnia and nitrites at bay.

You have to use approx. 8oz in three days but you will have a full bloomed aquarium. FYI the price here is almost DOUBLE. Got to Pet Mountain for best price, free shipping deals all the time. This product you can find in the $13 range.I have used it since came out, took to much water out, fish started stressing, found this and 24 hours they were back to normal...Love it!!!

I'm in the process of cycling an aquarium and this stuff works great at helping to keep ammonia levels from exploding. That being said, you can probably expect to use the whole bottle or more before the aquarium completely cycles. I wouldn't worry about using it liberally either. So far I haven't lost a fish despite adding them before cycling even began. So this can help to better manage the situation when used in conjunction with frequent water changes.
