Easy to install and with the help of some cable ties this barrier is not going anywhere. I do agree with the others saying the hardware could be a bit better quality as I had to strengthen the stability of it by using the cable ties to attach it to the headrests. Overall 3 Golden Retrievers were not happy they could not get in the back seat!

This has been helpful in keeping my dog in the back of my car since she is a real chewer. The only problem is that it does rattle around a bit. Overall, it has been a good solution to keeping her out of trouble and my car safe from her destructive chewing.

I read a lot of reviews before buying this item about 4 ms ago so I did use different hardware, zip ties, etc. to stabilize it. My 70 lb Lab puppy was very hard to control in the car, jumping back and forth over seats and barking with excitement so I expected her to give this barrier a real work out. As it happened, her behavior changed totally once this barrier was in. Her crate at home is of the same black open wire system so apparently she equated the barrier with her crate and just sat down and rode quietly from the first day!! Wish I had gotten this barrier before she chewed up my back seat belts! The barrier went in easily and stayed very stable. It still rattles a little but with everything else going on in the car I do not notice it. I have an old two door SUV and having the different wing options was helpful and I should be able to still use it when I ever get another car. I have had to pop it out to be able to put seats down for cargo and it was easy to get it back in. This worked great for me and it was fairly priced for the value.

The setup for this is very flexible and should fit almost every SUV/station wagon. The barrier comes in 6 pieces and you can set it up any way you want, not just the way it's pictured. It is a little bit of challenge putting it together, especially by yourself, but nothing like trying to put together Ikea furniture. And you can take it apart easily after. For people with dogs, this will work great. For people with cats, I don't recommend this at all. Our cat climbed the barrier and squeezed her body through the super small opening at the top after 20 mins on our 14 hr car ride. Lesson learned, cats prefer small enclosed space compared to roaming around the back. Our cat stayed in her pet carrier with a towel over it for the rest of the trip with no issues. So if you are you thinking of buying this for your cat, get a pat carrier instead. Your cat won't think they are going to die on a car.A couple of tipsWe tied a couple of pieces of rope from the top of the barrier to the clothes hangers in the back seat. We did this because when testing it on before our drive, we hit a big bump and it fell overOthers have mentioned vibration issues. For us, there wasn't much. The amount of vibration can be fixed by where you join the pieces together and worst case, you can put piece of paper or something between the pieces.

It was very easy to install and it works great. Now our 106 lb Golden retreiver can ride in our suburban without slobbering over the back seat on the baby.

The product was of good quality and did exactly what it was supposed to do. I did develop a personal modification where I used two inch wide Velcro to attach the barrier to my headrests and that works like a million bucks without touching any of the headliner, sides of the car, or the floor. I included thin padding between the barrier and the seat backs so they stay untouched as well. The only problem with the product is the hardware. Some of the bolts and wing nuts did not work and I had to replace them a the hardware store.

I've had this product for about 9 months now and I love it. I have a 2009 mercury mariner and I was able to use this barrier without attaching the side extentions. This is a very sturdy pet barrier and I haven't had any issues with it falling down while driving, and we go on 2-3 hour trips a lot. The only reason I gave this product 4 stars instead of 5 is because when unloading it from the truck the bottom poles slide out if you don't hold onto them, which is annoying. It's easiest to install/remove with 2 people but is definitely ok to do with one person, which is what I do most times. The only reason I remove it is to wash my dog's blankets and to vacuum the trunk area. My dog is a medium sized dog, about 45 pounds and can be very hyper. Still he has never knocked it down. There is a bit of a sqeaky noise when driving but I normally have my radio on so it doesn't bother me. I imagine using ties to stop the noise would help.

Installed this in our Suburban and then went on two camping trips with it. Face it, once it's installed, it's not going to be moved from one vehicle to another. Get some zipstrips, zip tie it together and then get rid of the plastic clamps. The wingnuts and lock washers should also be replaced, but once that's done, you've got a remarkably quiet barrier in the back of your vehicle.

This is the second barrier I have purchased for my vehicle and I must say it is the best one yet!! Love how it has the different sections you can adjust to fit your vehicle and it is very sturdy. Had a big Rottie headbutting it and some puppies tugging on it and it never moved! The only complaint I have is there is an open space right in the middle that is just big enough for a small dog or little puppies to squirm through. I ended up having to shove some stuff into that opening to keep the puppies in the back and out of the front seat during gas and potty breaks. I am a rescue animal transporter so their safety and mine is very important!

It was easy to install and fits my CX9 perfectly. For the most part, it's quiet and doesn't rattle unless going over bumps which is to be expected considering you have metal on metal.I highly recommend it!
