i have always purchased the 100w day blue bulbs for my sulcata. ive probably spent close to $200 in the past two years on these bulbs. ever since ive had this new ceramic heat emitter, my tortoise seems to be more active. i use it in a 60 gallon terrarium. This product was shipped expeditiously and had no issues with improper packing.

This makes a great heat source for brooding chicks, when you want to give them a Day and Night cycle. Add a Zoo Med Repto-500 thermostat and you have a great way of acclimating chicks!

I've been using these for years. They work well, and live up to their stated 5-year life expectancy, so long as you don't drop it or bang it. The ceramic is quite delicate, I suspect it gets even weaker with age from all the heating/cooling cycles, so take care not to jar it.

I love Zoo Med products! I have a 5ft long x 3ft deep x 7ft high enclosure for my water dragon. I have this running on the Zoo Med ReptiTemp 500R thermostat. It cycles on and off and maintains my enclosure at 85F easily.

I've purchased several of these, and found them to be a reliable and economical heat source. I use two of these as auxiliary heat sources for my cockatiels. I also use one of these, mounted in a ceramic light fixture in my dog's house. Both uses have proved satisfactory.

This thing puts out a crazy amount of heat. keeps my snakes 40 gallon terrarium at 80-85 even with the ambient temperature in the 50's.

This will last up to five years versus a few months with the heat lamps when run 24/7.Plus no light so the chickens go to bed at their natural time. With the red heat lamps they wondered all night long.So worth the money when trying to keep baby chicks warm.So glad I found these.

It does exactly what it is intended to, but I have found that some of these have a much shorter life the others. I have gotten some that only last 3 or 4 months, while others have lasted much longer. Also, since this emits no light, it should not be used by someone who is not good at checking the cage often, since it may go out and thus cause a large drop in temperature.
