    Brand Information

Troentorp clogs have been handcrafted in the Båstad region of Sweden since our start in 1907. Our clogs feature an orthopedically constructed foot bed that supports even weight distribution with a soft step, helping reduce lower back strain and leg and foot discomfort. Shaped to exact measurements, the cowhide leather uppers are wet-lasted and use hand-hammered stainless steel nails to attach to the moisture-resistant alder wood foot bed, which has a raised heel and an anatomically correct scaphoid metatarsal arch and toe well. Each clog features a 1" heat-bonded polyurethane sole and certified non-skid (ASTM 1677-Mark II) tread.

The Ideal bottoms were designed in the early 1990s with a polyurethane sole to make the clogs softer to walk in.

Standard(G): This is what we recommend for people with normal width feet. This is the last that we have always sold on the American market.

It was hard to break it in. At first it felt a bit snug for my wide feet. I had expected the difficulty since it was just a medium fit. Overtime, it loosened and it felt really great to use. With the previous clogs I've tried using for work, the arch support flattens in a couple of months, perhaps due to the rubber base. Being semi-flat footed, the wooden base provides a consistent arch support during long hours of standing at work. Now I'm thinking about buying another pair in a different color.

Made in Sweden, not in China! True to size. And I'm a `clogs' pro, believe you me! Troentorp, Dansko, Sanita, Birki's, Sketchers, etc. I've tried `em all. Let's put quality and durability issues on the side for a moment here, and concentrate on such important detail as an arch support. This is the most pivotal point for all clogs wearers! Normally, during the first 3 - (up to 7 days!) of wearing `em, you should feel and realize, that they're fully, 100% up to your own satisfactory! If they're NOT... return them immediately! You don't need that kinda suffering, pain and torture to yourself!?

I bought a pair of Monet in black about 15 years ago. I am still wearing it today. They are supportive, comfortable, enble me to stand and/or walk for hours. I can wear them bare foot or with socks/tights.I hope the worksmanship is still the same because mine has no defect to this day, no nail popped out and no leaking when walking in the rain.Yes, I do have Dansko clogs but they are too heavy and not as supportive as my Troentorp Bastad.

I have a pair of Dansko for work. I purchased the Troentorp clogs to try out, and I love them. They are more comfortable than the Dansko and I did not have to break them in like the Dansko clogs.
