Perfect for backpacking. But could be better, if matched with Vibram feet. Not sure if they fit-probably do fit. Need something to prevent sinking in forest duff and soft soils.One leg of stool sank in duff and stool leg got bentSo I threw it in garbage.Stool leg did not break, but it did bend.No back support, cannot lean back.

My mother in law loves to go to the grocery store or shopping but she gives when she walks after a short time. Got this because I could fold up, easy to carry or put in the cart. Get out quickly if she needed to sit a few minutes to rest. Worked like a charm! We take it with us every time we take her somewhere. She loves to go but needs breaks. It was perfect and great for the money!

I bought this to carry when I play disc golf. Sometimes I sit on it and sometimes I set my disc bag on it. That saves my back as I don’t have to bend over a million times during a round and keeps my bag out of the dirt or mud. It is very light and simple to use. My only wish is that it have a slightly heavier max weight limit but that is not a fault as there is a trade off between the stool’s weight vs. weight limit (and price). There are three legged tripod stools sold as disc golf accessories and while they have a higher weight limit, they are a little more fussy to open and close and are more finicky about getting my disc bag to be stable on them.I also camp and this will be useful as a camp stool or foot rest.

Excellent design, materials, weighs nothing, buy it!! Just what my Grandfather sat us on, camping as children. The best I've seen in 20 years.
