I got these for sun protection and they do that just fine.They are a little too heavy for Summer, OK for cold Spring/Fall rides.

I bought these for fall/spring - I know it says summer, but I like to start running with a light layer and take it off when I warm up. It's VERY light so it provides just enough to keep the chill off when starting to run at 50 degrees and easy to tuck away once I warm up. I would recommend to buy one size up. I have chicken arms and the smalls are VERY tight. If I were to buy again, I would buy mediums, but I will be OK with these.I've only washed them once (air dry), and they are still OK.
