Quality tool but difficult to control the depth of the counter sink hole. Also, the pilot hole for the screw must be perfectly perpendicular to the piece being mounted, otherwise the caps that cover the screw heads will protrude from the work piece on end and sink below the surface of the work piece on the opposite end. I used this system to mount some redwood trim pieces. I drilled the holes using a drill press and yet I did not get consistent depths of the counter sink holes. Some of the counter sink holes ended up being too deep so when the trim cap was installed it was noticeably lower than the surface of the trim piece. Maybe a harder type of wood would have yielded better results.

Once the correct depth is set, this works perfectly every time. This is the second one I've purchased. Would definitely recommend.

another excellent product of fastcap works smoothly. I want to add to this review, Today I use the flush mount drill bit for the first time to counter bore some holes. On the third hole I bore the bit broke .... I guess not the fault of the bit but I believe I twisted it as I was boring and that snapped the bit. luckily fast cap package two extra spare bits. the main issue I want to point out though is the tool retain wood chips in the barrel of adjuster ring. takes quite a bit of effort to clean it all out. Now Mr. FastCap, is it a good idea to get a relief slot/hole cut into the barrel to eject the wood chips?

This is a nice concept. I use the FastCap screws around my house to hang cabinets in my laundry closet and to change out those wire shelving shelves that come in homes to sturdier wood shelves. The screws were great, but I wanted to be able to countersink the screws and cover them up so they would not be so visible when finished. I use a cordless impact driver that's good for small hands which has a 1/4 hex bit attachment on it. I thought (which I should have done a closeup on the pics for this product) that since the screws come with hex bits that this would also have a hex bit head on it too. Well, it doesn't. So if you are thinking like me, you will be slightly disappointed because this means now you have to pull out the big bulky drill that has a chuck on it. I want to make others aware of this so you don't make the same mistake I made and now you are left trying to find a workaround because you see the usefulness in this tool. Right now I am looking at a hex bit to chuck converter, but most say they don't work if you put the drill in reverse. I also contacted the manufacturer and was told the only workaround (which is not a workaround) is to use a drill with a chuck.

Hex keys are very small but didn't need adjusting out of the box.

The best method for hiding anchor screws I have used. It really makes your cabinetry installs look that much cleaner and professional.

Great haven't had a chance to use it yet I'm modifying a cabinet to fit a flat screen tv wanted to hide the screws so you don't see them as they will be hidden under the colored decals
