I was very skeptical about using this because I couldn't imagine how screwing a thread into the thread could make it work so easy, but this fixed my stripped oil drain hole very well. I tried using only a tap before and it would strip again immediately but this was a permanent fix, highly recommend checking to see if you have or ordering the drill bit required to use for this helicoil kit

What an absolute piece of crap. The mandrel to install the coil was so far oversize that there was no possibility at all that it would work. I mistakenly thought that by buying the kit from the company that originated these that I would get a quality product. Garbage.
