A little lighter weight than I had hoped, but adequate so far. Painted finish makes it slippery and hard to grasp to open and close if I have gloves on in cold weather which we have a lot of in Central New York State.

Does it matter what I think? No, but my horse loves it, I have a Black Tennessee Walker and he thinks I had this made to look just like him, he is a little vain. But if it makes him happy then I am happy because a happy horse makes for a better ride. Remember Black Horses Matter!

Rusted in only a few years. This is exactly the one I am looking to replace. Our barn isn't that old and these are the latches it has. They are all rusted and look so bad I want to replace them.
