This tool is a must have if you are working on a GM steering column. This makes removing the steering column lock ring and reassembly a simple task. Just try to it without this tool, you'll be back here to buy this. Worked great for me.

Used to compress turn signal switch cover plate for snap ring removal on '92 Scottsdale (GM) Pickup column. Out in less than 20 min. Can't imagine doing it by hand (like some do? ) since using this tool. Seems to be well built, threaded easily, handled job easily, delivered when promised. Only thing better is it could use a case but now I am just nit picking, worth the price (less than $20) in time savings.

Works great but was missing the nut. No problem as I have plenty of hardware. It threaded onto the steering shaft easily and easy to depress the lock plate.

Used on an early 2000's Silverado, no issues threading onto steering shaft, compressed lock plate spring without issue. Works exactly as intended.
