I installed this set around the back of my house along the pool and I have to say the lighting is beautiful. The spot lights are used on my palm trees and cast a very nice light silhouette on them. Each tree is about 18ft tall. I can repeat the good that most other reviewers have pointed out. The light fixtures are far better than the plastic sets but I have several negatives as well.As some have mentioned, the plastic spikes are cheap that go into the ground. Also be very careful screwing the plastic to the medal fixtures as you can easily strip it out. Very annoying.Another annoyance is Malibu's constant use of the those cheap clip type connections to the main wire. These are terrible and will erode over time. My advise is to cut them all off and butt splice them to the main wire. This will be a much better splice and be environmentally sound. My other negative is, the power supply is nearly to small for the set. It has a rating max of 150watts. With the included lights you are using 140watts! That is way to close to the max and will trip the circuit breaker on the unit. It also means you can not add any extra light or lights to the set. I plan to deal with it for now, but may end up buying a larger power supply.

This is a very nice product, especially for the price. I got 2 other estimates, both of which were over $2,000. I bought this unit, 200' of extra wire (and used it all - mix of 14 and 16 gauge, unit comes with 16 gauge), 5 extra lights, and a second power source (I wanted two different timing settings) - all for under $500. The instructions are not complete and leave many unaswered questions - this required about 1 to 2 hours of research and reading. But, once I figured out all the details, I had the entire system installed in about 2-3 hours. I continue to move the lights to "tune" the final product, which is very easy if you leave the wires uncovered - I will bury them once I get it perfect. The path lights don't put out much light, so depending on how much light you need, you want these about 6 feet apart (vs the 8 feet they recomend). Be sure to be familiar with the various wiring details and balancing load / wire distance. I spent considerable time being sure I understood this, and the final product was awesome.

I have had these lights installed for a little over a year. So far they have worked great. My only complaint is the cheap plastic stakes used to hold these into the ground. I believe you can source some metal stakes for this at around 2 dollars a stake. I knocked a star off for the added cost. As for the people who say they are having problems with it dimming down the line, They did not install the lights and transformer properly, they have too long of a run, I am sure a simple re-wiring would solve their issue. As with any project research is key, I took 20 minutes to research the different way you can wire landscape lighting and I have not had any problems.

Bought this set to replace our current Malibu light set and found this set to be much more superior in quality. My only issue is that the cord was only 75 ft and would have preferred if this came with at least 100 ft.

Great product. I was happy I upgraded and got the better set. Make sure you order a good amount of extra wire cause I ended up getting 150 more with the included 75 which leads me to my other point. They're not that bright but I think it has to do with me extending it with more wire. They're not going to light up your yard but they work great for my pool area. I'm going to replace the halogen bulbs with led's.

After a long search, I purchased this set and am very pleased with the quality, ease of installation and overall lighting each fixture provides. The light fixtures are sleek, modern and blend in as opposed to standing out. The spotlights are easily adjusted to frame any area you want. The walkway lights focus down and are easy on the eyes.
