I thought this would be a bit bigger like the Melissa and Doug cards for the price. Not a bad product, but feel like this should have been a $1-3 item instead of $6.99. I was expecting more for the price. Comes in a playing card box - exactly like a regular deck of cards.

I have a child who loves the alphabet, this is by far the best matching game we have found for him. Having the letters on one card and a word that starts with that letter on the other is great! The pictures on each card is wonderful too. This has allowed my younger child to play the matching game and learn his letters along with the older one. This has become a fun family game night game for the kids (ages 3 4).

Really wanted to love this set. I thought for sure the illustrations would be colorful enough for a toddler but not too busy. So the pro is, the illustrations are great. Really simple, charming style and it even clearly shows Capital and Lowercase letters. The cons: The cards themselves are a bit smaller and feel flimsier than a regular deck of playing cards. Did not have a deck to compare it to but this seems to be the case. But I'm willing to look past those things. The biggest con for me was that for a game of Matching, the pairs of cards contain differing labels. For instance, one image of an apple reads 34;Apple34; and the other reads 34;Aa34;...34;Worm34; vs 34;Ww34; and so on. This has caused tremendous confusion for my little one still figuring out the mechanics of the game. When your two year old points out to YOU they look different, its a problem. Others have mentioned some cards use troubling items for pronunciation. C is for Cheese for instance, not 34;Ch34; So its a good size for traveling, but without the cards actually matching, I may have to hold off a bit so its not as confusing. I got a cheaper 3-in-1 set with an Old maid that doubles as a Matching game instead.

Great card! I don’t like that C is for cheese. Confusing for children since C doesn’t make the ch sound.
