This is an excellent phonics set up for first graders. Colorful pages that ripped out easily. This book is much more engaging than many other curriculums.

My 1st grader is struggling in reading. She did 10 pages the first time we did these workbooks, and said 34;it's easy!34; Of course, the workbook gets progressively harder. I showed the workbooks to her reading tutor and she said these were very good to use for supplemental for 1st grade.

I got this off a lightening deal for my soon to be first grader. It is definitely age and level appropriate for him. I would recommend this book for those wanting a little bit of extra practice for their 1st grader.

MOMMMM!!! ! It's supposed to be summer vacation!!! It was like pulling teeth to get my son to do any of the worksheets, but I don't think that's indicative of the product quality :-) My son is going into first grade. This was really more of a review of what he'd already learned in kindergarten (public school), but that was A-OK by me. The only legitimate complaint I have is that it was a little hard for my son to identify what some of the images were supposed to depict, therefore it was a challenge for him to write the correct word sometimes. With that said, he wasn't exactly giving it his 34;A34; game, either.
