Toddler loves these magnetic shapes. He figured out that he can use it on many metal objects (not that he knows it is metal) but that there's certain objects it works with. He is entertained for more than 20 minutes, which is a lot with my toddler. The container is excellent as storage; it's not flimsy.

These things rock. Yes you'll see people complain about the magnets not being strong enough but hey it's for 18 month olds. My son absolutley loves these things. Spent an hour straight putting them on dishwasher and taking them off. I know it's kind of pricey but man is it worth it!

My 16 month old played with something similar to these at the children’s museum and has enjoyed these just as much. I do wish it came with a few more pieces but otherwise it was a great buy

both me and my husband like the concept of this toy, we play with it while my nine month old eating the magnet ball. but the problem is after the first time I wash it, the magnet part start to rust. and two weeks later they are broken into small pieces. it is hard not to wash it at all. because it attracts dust and hairs. so I return it. it is a good toy, if you can stand not to wash it, that's fine.

I’m disappointed with these. While the look and feel is nice, and I understand you wouldn’t want a magnet so strong it might pinch a little finger, the weight of the plastic pieces (particularly the “ball” connectors) is a hindrance to any real building. Pieces could be lighter, or magnets stronger. I’m glad I didn’t purchase a set with more pieces or I’d have been more likely to return. It’s still a decent skill building activity, but I wouldn’t recommend these to another parent.

These turned out to be a great gift for my Godson. The only problem is that there aren’t enough pieces to build anything significant. The 20 pieces are only enough to build the small triangle in the picture.
