The laminated U.S. poster is just as described however I do wish it was a bit thicker or had a heavier laminate. It doesn't feel as substantial in my hand as I expected. I also wish that the states filled up more of the page than they do. It seems as though there is also lot of ocean, Canada and Mexico that could have been minimized in order to maximize the surface area of the states. Delaware and Rhode Island (the smallest states) are teeny-tiny and very difficult to write on with a white-board marker but this would've been easier if the surface area of the U.S. map would have been magnified. Fine-point tip whiteboard markers work best for this. We've only purchased Expo brand and they erase very well with no 34;ghosting34; on the laminate. Overall, the map is great There aren't a lot of options for this sort of thing so it fills a niche in the market. For the price (very good) I would surely buy this again.
